Halloween Brew Ha Ha - Halloween 2012

Halloween Brew Ha Ha is the new drawing for this month. I have included two other drawings from pre-blog years. For this new drawing you have to look for the three items that don't appear twice within the two pots of witch's brew. Have fun!

Scarecrow Junction

I hate to say it... summer is almost over. Thanksgiving is around the corner. So lets trade in our hotdogs and potatoe salad for some good ol' turkey and pumpkin pie. The items to find in this drawing are turnips, crows, pitch forks, pies and turkeys. Enjoy!

School Shoppin'

Oooooooooh. Back to School.
There are Yellow Pencils, Apples, Book worms, Calculators and Dollar signs hidden in this picture. I can't say how many of each. Currently this drawing is running as a Back to School contest for Sunmedia newspapers :) Enjoy!

Gopher Gold - Summer Olympics Drawing

This month's drawing is inspired by the Summer Olympic Games. How many gold medals can you find? My goal for this drawing was to keep all the colours within the gold colour spectrum, like yellows, browns and oranges. Just so the gold medals are harder to find.

Since I have nothing else to say, but I would love to keep on writing.... here is a list of things that I think Mcdonald's should do.

1. Serve Onion Rings - If they can master the French Fry, why not the Onion Ring?
2. Serve All-day breakfast - 'cause I want a Sausage and egg Mcmuffin at 3 in the afternoon sometimes.
3. Delivery service - 'Cause I want my "3 in the afternoon Egg Mcmuffin" NOW baby!
4. Gravy! - Need me say more
5. Bring back Mcdonald's Pizza... I forget what it tastes like.
6. What happened to both chocolate and vanilla on an ice cream cone?
7. Have something spicy.

Thank you

Dad's Dreaming Again - Father's Day 2012

Happy early Father's Day to all the dads out there. The new drawing for this month is entitled "Dad's Dreaming Again". Below are some Father's Day drawing from years past including the very first busy drawing I have ever done "Happy Father's Day?" from 2007. They have gotten much busier since then.
It is also the drawing that started the famous "Little blue Underwear". Those of you that have seen my artwork in the past probably know that every drawing has the Little Blue Underwear hidden in there somewhere. In the new drawing there are multiple underwear....but only one blue one :)

My friend Brooke asked me the other day to list some of the other little characters that I like to hide in my drawings. To name just a few there is always a red maple leaf, a rubber ducky, a banana peel, an apple core, a diamond, a carrot, an onion, a fried egg, a bowling ball, an alarm clock, fish bones, a cheese, a pizza, a hamburger, a ham, and a broccoli.  A new one that I just started are two house flies. Make sure to look for those two guys in the future. I have also been enjoying drawing a gold fish in a bowl for some reason...most of my new ones have it. Enjoy!

Super Moms - For all the Moms out there

This one is for all the Moms out there who take care of us, teach us, drive us to where we have to go, feed us good things, scare the boogey-man away, cherish us, hug us, encourage us, cheer us up and most of all - love us!

The earth would not be a safe and loving place without out our "Super Moms" there beside us.

Happy Mother's Day Super Moms!

Raining Cats & Dogs

Take cover! It's raining Cats and Dogs out there! I kind feel funny posting these drawings so often. I don't want people thinking that all I do is draw and don't have a life..... kinda true ;)

Many people ask me how long one of these drawings take. It's about 15 hours i'd say. People also often ask me how do I find the patience in doing the kind of artwork that I do. When it comes to drawing cartoons, there is very little right and wrong. The drawings just keep on coming out of the pencil without a stop and the ideas just keep on flowing. Before I know it I have a whole drawing done. Patience is needed when illustrating something exact. I tried hand painting a german shepherd one time, the eyes were in the wrong spot and the colours were wrong...I lost patience in making it look like a real dog! That takes patience.
